The Fold Collection is a series of sculptural pieces in which Marija explores folds of different materials (paper, metal, fabric, canvas) to create a piece that ultimately resembles a simple paper fold. The interplay of sculpted folds and varied paint finishes—matte, satin, and glossy—creates a dynamic experience, with the piece transforming throughout the day as light dances upon its surface. Light and shadow morph the colors into an array of shifting shades, drawing the viewer closer and blurring the line between reality and illusion.

Marija's profound connection to the desert's enchanting beauty takes center stage in this collection. The graceful sculpted folds, paired with the subtle interplay of beige and white, create a mesmerizing visual journey. As daylight changes, its shifting glow dances across the surfaces, animating the interaction between shadows and highlights. As both an artist and architect, Marija has consistently prioritized sustainability, remaining deeply mindful of the materials used in her projects. She finds exhilaration in reusing and repurposing, where the pursuit of sustainability beautifully converges with the creation of compelling art. Her “My Dance” Collection reflects her personal mantra: “I dance like nobody’s watching, and I create art like nobody’s judging.” The collection’s colors transform and evolve, responding to the interplay between natural and artificial light, delivering a dynamic and ever-shifting visual experience.
